Pros

Great Opportunities to grow your career. Fun, fulfiling environment. Great benefits and pay.

Cons

Large company, so lots of politics. Can be frustrating when dealing with cross departmental teams. Communication is lacking at times.

I worked at Intuit as an intern (Less than a year)

    Pros

It felt good to be given responsibility for a major part of the next release of the software. Great amount of freedom and good mentoring.

    Cons

Not much structure for interns had been set up yet while I was there, I'm sure the situation is changed at Intuit

I worked at Intuit full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

10% Personal time for innovative projects
    Lots of training

    Cons

Architect role is almost a technical lead and managerial role, particularly in functional teams.
Too much plugged into day to day development cycles as a an agile resource.
Product development technical innovation is slow.
Very little interaction with senior level management.

    Advice to Management

Support and encourage architects. Too much support for engineers at the expense of architects
