Pros

Making a difference in people's lives. Gaining different skill sets through out the years. Pay as long as you were a top performer

Cons

Jenny Craig was once an elite company to work for. What set it apart was the one on one connection built with the clients and lifelong bonds that were formed. Clients were successful and so were the centers. Particularly those in North America. At one time the franchise centers in Canada were top 10 elite in the world for client success as well as deposit. Once the franchise centers were sold slowly but surely we seen a decline. However this last purchase by HIG and former CEO David really destroyed what was left of the company. By taking away the one on one consultations, removing the training module that we had and shifting towards some elementary learning on a computer vrs one on one l, you took away the credibility and knowledge that future consultants were able to have. Jenny craig has become nothing more than a grocery store. All they care about is money because they will be bankrupt within a year. 16 years I worked for this company and left on good terms without so much as a thankyou, exit interview, phone call... nothing. I was erased and forgotten just like my former VP of the company who was eventually pushed out as well. Buyer beware..... the new platform in which JC is moving is not working and won't work Future employees beware, Sadly this company will make you promises they will never uphold. I left behind some of the best staff I could have ever worked with. Aside from the clients that is all I will miss

Pros

The work was rewarding in that sense that you were able to help people reach their goals. Of course, people were only as successful as their willingness to follow the program allowed, but the majority of clients were kind and appreciated the support. If you are interested in the intersection of nutrition and customer service, this could be a good entry-level position for you.

Cons

-The position was constantly understaffed, which often required employees to do the work of several people. -The pay was not great, and there are essential no opportunities for professional advancement. -There were several responsibilities not listed in job description, and it seemed like the work-life balance of employees is not particularly prioritized.
