Pros
Flexible schedule-sometimes didn't even go in at all and no one noticed or cared. A lot of people work 5 hour days, with no reprimand. Travel was great, I got all the perks of credit cards and points, with full reimbursement from Journal. People are great. Anyone who wasn't a manager is incredible and fun to work with.
Cons
Management is delusional. They offer no training, instead saying 'find your own learning opportunities', but when you do, they shoot it down and say no. They invest no time in teaching the product or how to demo. The RFP process is a joke. Basically, the company vice president writes everything and refuses to hand off anything. Management micromanages, but does not teach staff or give them tools to do what needs to be done. And the CEO cut the 'entertainment' budget to nothing, which was the last scrap of team building and culture. Promotions and raises are non-existent, and no retirement plan at all (not even one you can contribute to. Employees have to go outside of Journal) is not okay.
