Little work available from Nov-March, relatively low pay

Really wonderful workers in the departments, allowed to work on personal projects during break time, lots of flexibility in schedule during slow season to pursue other side hustles (this can be a drawback though, since I had experiences of management cutting hours and asking us to take time off which sometimes sucked since my position was supposed to be full time). If you're friendly with people in the warehouse, you can learn new skills from them pretty quickly which is nice.

Egotistical, petty, and racist owner. Production does not follow any semblance of a design process, art and design elements dictated completely by sales and not by anyone with a background in art or design. Means they're continuously 5-10 years behind trend and no consideration is given for working time of some of the materials they ask you to use. Massive safety concerns in the shop, especially surrounding toxic fumes from materials and welding. No room for promotion or career advancement. Underpaid, no bonuses, no structure to conduct employee reviews on any set basis, I had to repeatedly bother management for feedback and a raise after I had worked there over a year.
