The Safety first culture is an effort, but it is all about creating more paperwork and time wasting efforts that are redundant in the customers environment, the real test of if you care about safety is when an event happens like a record breaking storm and management is throwing a tantrum because people are being forced to call in, this does not bode well with what you preach and you let your managers ding your employees for having to take time off for these events and even being sick.
Work/life balance, if you are working on certain tools, you are always pushed away from family, you get that "face" from management when family issues come about like you are trying to pull something over on them.
Age discrimination! yes it exists and it is pulled off in very sly ways, but it certainly exists in this environment, LAM likes the NCG types over the skilled professionals.
No accountability with managers even after losing several FSEs to the same area, hint.. if they are leaving, they are firing you!
Very little recognition to those in the Field, specifically, those who deal with the customer on a visceral level.
Management uses negative enforcement for everything, saying things like "lucky to have a job" is not and can not be productive!
At the end of the day, it's still "Office Space" and the two Bobs never showed up.
