Pros
Maybe the Xmas shutdown offering extra leave but that also really reduces your flexibility for the rest of the year
Cons
So many (and it includes both Sg and HK) -Micromanagers leading every team -A lot of gossiping -If they don't like you then you're mysteriously frozen out from things and they wait for you to quit as you feel stressed and on edge -Frequent overreactions to mistakes (or, most of the time, perceived mistakes) -They call you out on group chat if you make a mistake but leaders apologise and expect ready forgiveness if they make mistakes -Too many events for a media outlet showing they really don't produce valuable content that people want to subscribe to (people will only care about your events if the journalists are good!) -Extremely high turnover that ends up creating a staff of two-faced docile sycophants -A bizarre contract termination talk that essentially seeks to legally bully you into not speaking ill about the company with no sense of gratitude for the employee's service OR a summary dismissal with severance if they believe you to be a problem character and don't want to expend the effort to train you or be patient with you -Deifying marketers even if they are mean to staff -Unclear work from home policies (it seems like people who've been around for a while get more flexibility than others) -Not enough staff to handle the workload -Way too much trust in longserving employees who cannot manage their subordinates or the workload but also want to sign off on everything -Annual performance reviews that basically feel like struggle sessions i.e. there's always an attempt to indoctrinate you into loving the Lighthouse family or they seek to spot any signs of infidelity or disenchantment -A siege mentality that sees employees regularly disparage competitors and behave in an arrogant manner -An obsession with their formula which they want to repeat ad infinitum only for the leaders to step in and ask you to re-do everything as they cannot be bothered to do the work themselves and they like behaving as if they know the secret sauce on how things are done -An unnecessarily lengthy feedback process that involves all stakeholders discussing in pointless group meetings instead of letting project leaders assume responsibility and liaise individually with different teams
