M30 Retail Services Response
11yI am the President of MSI Canada and here are my comments.
You say that you worked a 14 hour day but you also say that you worked 8 hours a week on average -???
We cannot offer more work to employees than the amount of work we have. In London, I believe that this work was for one customer, on contract.
For project work, which is what I believe you were hired for (I don't know for sure because this posting is anonymous), MSI Canada strives to offer above market rates for hourly wages. Raises are not given on project or on contract work. Raises are typically given to regular full time and regular part time employees who have been with the company for over a year. You would not have been given a raise for a short term contract. If the pay was bad, why did you apply and work for us?
We do not fire people “left and right for no reason.” Actually, we take great pains to ensure that the firing of an employee is only done when all other means have been exhausted. The firing of employees is very rare at MSI, however, it does happen.
Iissues such as missing hours, etc. are the responsibility of the employee to report and follow up with the immediate supervisor. Why wouldn’t you report your missing hours? If in fact you were missing hours and had reported it, you would have been paid for that time.
