Pros

Microsoft is a great employer when it comes to looking after its employees. There are many benefits for working there. Offices are very modern and personal benefits give an extra incentive to do your job well. Promotional opportunities are good generally if one becomes visible as much as possible in the organisation. The company also encourages working from home and this in general increases productivity.

Cons

One third of your work there is about making yourself visible to other departments by doing several case studies and attend many meetings irrelevant often to the nature of your work. This takes a lot of your working hours and as a result you have to often work late to meet up the demands of your role.

Advice to Management

Reduce the amount of meetings and general case studies so employees can focus on their workload and work less overtime.

I worked at Microsoft (More than a year)

    Pros

Amazing offices and picturesque location in the middle of a scenic business park.
    Some decent colleagues.

    Cons

Management team have their favourites and if you aren't one of them, they make it obvious to everyone. But like being at school and trying to get in with the crowd. They work you so, so hard and even then it's not appreciated. The culture makes everyone too competitive

    Advice to Management

Stop making it like a school playground!!! Have some respect for the people who are working hard!!
