Extreme, over the top micromanagement by individuals with very outdated marketing ideas and business practices. Questioning any of these existing practices is not allowed, as “we have always done things this way and we’re profitable.” Folks in leadership positions do not have real marketing experience outside of this company and it sadly shows. In the interview process, they will try to sell you the world, but be prepared to be constantly on call. Emails and texts must be answered immediately. Bosses must be copied on all communications. They will correct you if they do not do things like put a double space after periods - something that is no longer in style grammatically.
