Pros
Coworkers, of course. My branch also had very low turnover due to store-level management making up for a lot of the misguided policies of corporate.
Cons
Benefits package is an absolute joke and no longer offered to part-time employees. I started at Mimi's in 2007 when it was independent and it was just fine. With the recession, they sold to SWH, and the shift in focus from quality to profit was quickly apparent, and quite disappointing. SWH recently sold to LeDuff, who are running the chain into the ground trying to suck every dime they can out of it.
