Pros
its a foot into the industry, sample sales, laid back environment (because no one really cares), no dress code.
Cons
low pay, no increase in salary/bonuses/reward system, no room for promotion even if someone leaves & you take over their position's roles, treated very poorly by "seasoned" employees because they think everyone below them are stupid and inexperienced, management plays "favorites" with some employees while the others get the brunt of the workload, the men in charge treat women very poorly. You're encouraged to take on a lot of work without any incentives. You are only ridiculed for tasks you've done wrong and rarely complimented on the many things you do right! The production room looks like a windowless sweat shop with tons of fruit flies everywhere. Everyone is always in a poor mood and takes it out on the people who are just trying to be positive. No one is in charge, it's just a play as you go job. Benefits are a joke, health care is outrageous with HUGE premiums & deductibles, & they don't contribute to your 401k.
