Pros

The actual agents doing the work are all lovely people.

Cons

Management, management and probably management. I started at Oasis Group and was given next to no training at all really. Dumped in front of a desk and computer the next day and off I went. Things were apparently going well, on my first performance review (2ish months) I was given the mark of "outstanding" for the majority of categories with none being marked below "very good". I was offered a paid promotion within weeks of being with the company which I obviously jumped at. Fast forward another couple of months, I am settling in to my new role, doing well, as told by my new line manager. Then one day, at the end of a shift, I was handed a letter by one of the, and i use this term very loosely "managers" inviting me to attend a probationary hearing regarding my work performance and serious concerns that this "manager" had personally witnessed, the letter stated that this may result in my dismissal. Upon going to enquire with this "manager" exactly what was referred to in the letter in order to be able to prepare for the meeting which may result in my dismissal, I was told that they were not prepared to discuss with me any of the contents of the letter. What's funnier is the last sentence of said letter invited me to speak to the "manager" if I had any questions regarding the contents of said letter. Right............ I went home when my shift ended as normal. The next day I again approached the "manager" to again try to gather some more information in what they had personally observed. I did this because up until I was given the letter by the "manager" I had only ever had I believe 1 conversation with, and it wasnt even a direct one on one conversation. I had my own line manager who was by all accounts very pleased with my performance. This "manager" would stroll in at whatever time they fancied and disappear to the manager cave and would only crawl out to smoke or get food. Anyway, I was once again told that I was not going to be given any information prior to my meeting. 5 minutes later, I was then pulled aside and told I was to leave the premises due to concerns over other staffs wellbeing as I was reported to be acting very aggressively around the office. Bear in mind that up until that moment, I had been working with absolutely no issues or clue that I was in any way a poor employee. I went home and continued to request the information ahead of my meeting which "may result in your dismissal". I sent 2 or 3 emails at various points throughout the day and got no response. Only after sending an email advising that I had been in touch with a union representative and they had advised me to not attend the meeting without being given time to prepare a defence for the accusations outlined in the letter, did I get a reply. The reply said that the meeting location had changed from the office, to a hotel conference room up the road? Long story short, I was not given any information, proof, evidence, reports, complaints or any scrap of anything that would indicate I was a poor employee. My meeting lasted approximately 3 minutes where I was told that due to concerns over my performance I was sacked with immediate effect. Was handed a letter confirming this, pre dated and signed, given a little bag with my desk belongings and that was that. The way my probationary hearing was handled was honestly quite impressive, I didnt think that "manager" had the intelligence, resources or general awareness to make a cup of tea yet alone plan and execute such a malicious, unjustified, cowardly and disgusting attack on somebody. Both of the managers in my very brief time at Oasis Group are barely capable of managing a conversation yet alone an international company. They will and are running the business in to the dirt. Completely oblivious to the morale of the team and oblivious to the issues that need addressing. Cowardly, backstabbing, conniving, plotting, scheming clowns.

Pros

Because of the pandemic situation things had to happen, and everything will go back to the way it was when things becomes normal again

Cons

The fact we got added more work with the enormous amount of work we already had beforehand, we should be getting a pay increase. But instead of that, we got some of our benefits cancelled, and even metioned we should thankful we didn't get a decrease in pay.

Thank you for taking the time to write this review. We would like to clarify that no benefits have been cancelled. We have worked hard to introduce new benefits into the business over the last 12 months, for example; enhanced family leave, improved pension and car salary sacrifice. We have also increased Team Member pay, where appropriate, across the Group. We would appreciate the opportunity to discuss this with you to enable us to identify where a misunderstanding could have taken place, impacting your experience with OASIS Group
