I worked at Paddle full-time (More than a year)

Pros

Work environment and company culture. Young, ambitious heads at the helm driving Paddle through more and more rounds of funding and growth. Very open, opposite of corporate which is refreshing and certainly a company going places. A technically demanding sales role which will set you up for employment anywhere, you really will learn at an exceptional rate.

Cons

As with all young companies, culture can take time to develop, something older and more established companies take for granted. If you can be patient and flexible though, as Paddle matures from a rebellious teen to a Bruce Wayne, it will no doubt be one to watch and be a real stamp on the map for UK based tech startups.

I have been working at Paddle full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

    - Young and energetic company with a great work environment.
    - They make an effort to make you feel as comfortable as possible at work by making sure you have all the equipment you need, providing snacks, drinks, and relaxing areas.
    - There is also a lot of perks like yoga classes, massages, free lunches every Tuesday, company drinks every two weeks, etc
    - Great learning and knowledge sharing culture.
    - Your input is heard and your efforts are recognized and rewarded.
    - Regular updates on how the company is doing.

    Cons

Recruiting a lot at the moment which means the environment is always changing so you need to be comfortable with constant change.

I have been working at Paddle as a contractor

    Pros

A very open, friendly company where, as a contractor, you are treated pretty much the same way as permanent employees. A trusting, diverse and transparent culture. Excellent work life balance. A flat structure where everyone has a voice, and the executive team are totally approachable. They also believe in giving employees the very latest and best tools to succeed. Extremely low employee turnover.

    Cons

Current location is not as central as it might be, although December 2018 move to near Liverpool Street will be much better. Too many evil things to eat!

    Advice to Management

Continue to preserve the open culture as you grow.
