Pros

You will learn the Microsoft Power Platform inside and out. If you want to be a low-code/no-code consultant, this is a good place to do it.

Cons

As a current developer here, I have to be blunt with anyone considering a technical role at Penthara Do not join this company if you want a career in software engineering. Here is the truth of what happens, which I have watched unfold with multiple interns: 1. The company advertises for "Software Developer Interns (React)" and conducts coding interviews. This is a lie. The moment you are hired, you will not write a single line of React. Your job will be 100% low-code/no-code development using MS Power Apps, Power Automate, and SharePoint. Your coding skills will die here. 2. The reason the hiring process is so strange is that they do not understand the roles they are hiring for. I have heard leadership confuse basic concepts, like suggesting "React can be a backend." They cannot tell the difference between a real, full-stack application and a simple front-end project using local storage. There is no technical mentorship here for a real developer. 3. There is a clear, cynical pattern. Interns are hired for coding, forced to train on the Power Platform, and then put through a series of "assessments" that are not in their contract. Management then uses these "assessments" and justify cutting their promised stipend or forcing them out. It's a dishonest way to get cheap, temporary labor. 4. Do not trust a single verbal promise from HR or senior management. They will lie to your face and deny it later. There is an active effort to suppress negative reviews, while 5-star reviews are from current employees who are pressured to write them you can see a bunch of 5 star reviews without any comments on Google within a very short span of time 😂 that is the proof that they are trying to hide something and they are forcing their employees to write 5 star reviews for the company. Even though those employees have been there in penthara all this time they haven't given it 5 star rating and now suddenly they want to give it 5 stars 🤔.

Pros

There is a lot to learn about how corporate image and reality can differ, which can be a valuable experience early in a career. Employees also gain exposure to how office politics and internal communication dynamics work in practice. The company maintains an active presence on social media and external platforms, which may give potential candidates an idea of how organizations manage public perception and branding. For those interested in observing how management styles and leadership communication can impact workplace culture, this environment can provide a real-world example. Working here can also help employees develop resilience and adaptability when dealing with rapidly changing expectations and workplace uncertainty.

Cons

There appears to be a significant gap between the image this company promotes publicly and the experience many employees report internally. The culture that is showcased on social media and during recruitment often does not reflect what employees actually encounter once they join. A major concern is the lack of transparency in management practices. Employees may receive little to no constructive feedback about their work or behavior, and situations that appear stable can suddenly change without clear explanation. This creates uncertainty and leaves employees feeling that expectations and decisions are not communicated openly. The work environment can also feel heavily influenced by internal politics and informal discussions about employees rather than a strong focus on professional development or organizational growth. Instead of fostering a culture of trust and collaboration, the atmosphere can sometimes make employees feel cautious about expressing concerns or sharing honest feedback. Recruitment messaging, particularly during campus drives or early hiring conversations, often sets expectations about culture, opportunities, and support systems that many employees later feel are overstated. This can lead to frustration when the actual workplace experience differs from what was initially presented. Leadership promotes a very positive and approachable image externally, but internally some employees feel that the emphasis is more on maintaining appearances than on addressing underlying workplace issues. This disconnect can gradually erode trust between employees and management. Another concerning pattern is how conversations about former employees sometimes occur after they leave the organization. Without the ability for those individuals to respond, narratives can develop that may not fully reflect the situation. When employees come across negative feedback online, they are often encouraged to disregard it as inaccurate. However, the number of similar concerns appearing in reviews suggests that the organization may benefit from taking this feedback seriously and reflecting on the underlying issues. Overall, the company would likely benefit from focusing more on transparency, constructive feedback, and building a healthier professional environment rather than prioritizing external image over internal reality.
