Pros

Exposure to high profile clients. Lost of different projects. Take as much responsibility as you'd like. Exposure to upper management if you take initiative.

Cons

Atmosphere: very faced paced, overly competitive and chaotic workplace. Lots of employee politics, back room deals, finger pointing & favoritism. Projects: almost all projects are rushed, and cut corners where possible. You're never given proper time or budget to get your job done correctly. Directors and Management: unqualified to lead their department and teams, conflicting directions, poor decision making, and poor risk management. Very hands-off, will throw you under the bus in an instance and quick to claim “team's” credit if project is successful. Leadership and Partners: visible politics and competition amongst themselves, ruthless drive for profitability at all costs, shortsighted decisions as a result. Extremely aggressive in meetings, quick to make assumptions, make blame, can be pushy and rude. Work life balance: no work life balance here, you can be working 70 hour weeks, weekends included. Culture: company tries very hard to appeal to its employees, prides itself on its so called “culture”, definition of which is free beers around the office making it feel like a frat party.

Pros

Very prosperous company and people are supportive and friendly. I like it very much

Cons

It's a private firm so procedures or work schedules may not be well found. Not necessarily has to be cons though.

Pros

1. You are the jack of all trades because you learn & do EVERYTHING! You do Management Consulting, Tech Consulting, Support, Product Management, Business Development, Sales, Account Management, Coordinator roles, Project Management! 2. You definitely go up the chain quicker as a new hire out of college. 3. You are thrown into the fire!

Cons

1. You are too busy to be a master of anything. Why? Because you have too much on your plate that you won't be able to focus on something you like. 2. As you go up the ladder, you still retain your old work. 3. People are overworked. Some project managers decide that its not worth it to invest in a QA resource or a support member on a project and instead let the analysts/consultants do the work (even when some are not even qualified). Why do they do this? Because these project managers don't want their margins to look bad. Unfortunately they are pressured to GET IT DONE (exact words of a partner) regardless of how much a project is sold. 4. There's no energy anymore. People don't go to happy hours anymore. I guess they're not happy?
