I have been working at Pret A Manger part-time (Less than a year)

Pros

Free food and drink. Flexible working arrangements. Good managers in he right shop

Cons

Bad managers if unlucky with the store you work in.

Advice to Management

Learning to communicate politely is important.

    Free lunch everyday, bonus if staff were polite to customers

    Cons

    Horrible staff, didn't care about anyone who wasn't from the same cultural background and extremely dismissive management who were rude and unhelpful.

    I have been working at Pret A Manger full-time

    Pros

    Paid breaks, free food and hot drinks.
    Better paid than retail.
    You can swap shifts if you need to.
    Quick advancement if you can work extra hard and also have a brain.

    Cons

    Boring and monotonous tasks.
    Management doesn't listen or care.
    High staff turnover. You get paid very little for what you are expected to do. No benefits.

    Advice to Management

    Make the job more interesting. Have proper incentives and benefits. Invest more in team building and ensure proper training. Have proper career advancevent opportunities.
