How to demotivate people - Manager QBE Employee Review

During my tenure, I was treated to a master class on the subject of this review. My leader would berate and belittle me during our 1:1 conversations, I assume because they felt it was justified in order to achieve their or the company's goals. My mental and physical health suffered more than at any other job I've ever had. My complaints to HR were met with "it's not bullying, it's feedback." I left the company and was immediately contacted by several former colleagues about job opportunities. I was employed again within a month.
