Pros
- Gain a lot of technical knowledge as the learning curve is not quite high
- Easy to build your portfolio
- Friendly employee
Cons
- Longer duration of ur first interview. I was ignorant during that time to saw the 'signs' of how the working environment works there. Srsly, when my first time iv there, it takes around 4 hours to finish.
- Toxic environment, seriously it is horrible bcuz everyone in the 3D department love gossiping (mengumpat), non-stop. I repeat, NON-STOP. There will be always new "story", you'll be incite (dihasut) to see the 'target' horribly in any way. It is always sparked by the '3 horsemen' in the 3D department. You'll get free "dosa" everyday. They love condescending people especially the newbies. This is very childish behaviour, not mature. Heck, they're bunch of "grown children in a body of adults", I'm not implying everyone in there but certain people.
- Very unprofessional, love involving personal feelings into professional job. Can not differentiate between personal life and career life. Love to "jaga tepi kain orang"
- Misogynistic, very not recommend for female to work there, 100% employees there (3D department) are males. Very high chance you'll get harrased.
- Factionalism, they are quite "beef" with the Motion Department. They don't really like them. They are really good in wearing 'mask'.
- You're encouraged to stayback or even sleep in office just to get your work done, no overtime pay (still tolerable tho since it's creative industry, common with no OT).
- Unclear office hour. They mentioned that the office hour is 9am to 5.30pm. When you're about to go home "early" around 5.30pm, the "boss" (although not really a boss) will ask you why and you cannot use the argument of "stated office hour" or "it's already 8 hours". He even asked if you already DONE your job PERFECTLY, then you can go home. If not, then you're prohibited to go home. Hence, he even asked you what time do you come to office. Ironically, the "boss" itself come to office at 3pm to 4pm and go back home around 12pm or even late. So, don't feel weird if you are always expected to work 12 hours heck even 15 hours per DAY, PER. DAY. Whereas if you calculate the duration of the boss working hour, it reach minimum working hours, that is 8 hours. This bring to the next point that is;
- Leadership. He LOVES preaching about "following me, the role model of a leader", "if you have passion, it's not a problem for you to stay late". Yeah sure but can you keep pursuing your "passion" if you are tired? We are humans, not robot. This is ironic for a 'role-model leader' you always preach about. Heck, you even one of the sparks that lead "mengumpat" in point 1. Is this what a leader should shows to their employees?
- Last but not least, not appreciative towards others' creative works. You should really consider to "menabur bakti" in here cuz in the end, even if you introduce to them something new and revolutionary in the studio, once you did 1 things wrong, you'll be always get talked-about your "wrong" but not ur contribution in the department.
