Pros
During the start there was a mix of work, a great distributed core team and direct client management. Culture and social mix in the agency was great - helped by a bunch of people who were working together on interesting projects.
Cons
No real strategic or creative direction Management not great leaders or managers - many have ended up as managers without the experience and as such seem to struggle when it comes to making decisions or being responsible Given #1 and the change in direction from production/tech to advertising/marketing, resulted in 0 direction or clear roadmap from seniors or owners. Couple this with an introduction of a client team resulted in budgets being slashed from actual work, less briefs and many redundancies or people deciding to move on. Lack of management experience also resulted in budgets/scheduled being slashed with little wriggle room on scope or actual realities of production - the “team” would be blamed. Too much blame culture and bureaucracy for things to move quickly
