Pros

No dress code. You can wear what you are comfortable in.

Cons

Unless you are in an Admin or C-suite roll, they could care less about you or your position. HR is genuinely the worst at Samaritas and will deflect any questions you have relating to how the company is run.

Pros

Long hours of not doing anything gave you time to work on other things. I got to know other people in the building better than my actual coworkers.

Cons

I worked full shifts alone in a six suite office. After a month of employment, I never met a single Ann Arbor office supervisor. Case workers were not friendly and very frustrated and overwhelmed with management. Managers were over paid, and worked from home with very little support to any of the employees. It was also very sad to see how incomplete the cases were and there many missing medical documents for foster care children. They deserve to be audited and shutdown. I was the only employee mandated to work in person and I wasn't given access to security cameras. I became aware of an incident where a foster parent was killed by a parent from a coworker. I felt unsafe working there alone and often when people would use the back entrance and be in the office without notifying me. The building was at the back of the plaza and felt very unsafe. I received no relevant training to my position but had many hours of videos on Cyber Security. IT liked to test people for breaches. It was clear that the company overspent on technology and infrastructure rather than employees. Starting pay was $14 for a very technical job that you would need to figure out on your own because there were no trainers available.
