Pros

The newspaper is a long-established entity, with an impressive history. Working for a company that was founded by Joseph Pulitzer himself was interesting.

Cons

The newspaper industry is dying a long, slow death. Its hard to work in an atmosphere where there are constant layoffs, and challenges due to dwindling revenues.

Pros

Creative team of professionals focused on creating trustworthy news to keep the St. Louis public informed of events affecting them.

Cons

Massive cuts to the news industry have hit the St. Post-Dispatch as well. Too few employees and outsourcing of departments make it difficult to continue meeting the high standards of journalism which is frustrating. Print subscribers are neglected as the focus becomes on moving to the online platform.
