Pros

Only a select few colleagues who I enjoyed working with and also learning things you should NOT do

Cons

The supervisor literally said “You’re a good employee, one of the high performers”, "I trust your work", "As long as it works". So as subordinates, you do as what you think is best. However, that's not always the case and mistakes happen then the blame comes to you. Where did all that trust go? Why did the supervisor not check on the work you are going to do? After that he patches your supposed "crap" and proudly announces that he has fixed your "crap". As he so often says: "I have to clean up (insert person name)'s crap". People have wondered, why did he have to do that? Couldn't the supervisor have prevented that from happening? Well, he does that to look good to those who are oblivious, that others are always not performing as well as him. Hello! We don't care about you looking good or whether you’re better than us, we want to do what’s right and improve ourselves! Not being looked down on, criticized and demotivated. I lost my passion and will to work hard in Stampede, don’t even know why I bothered to stay longer than I initially planned. The biggest reason I left Stampede: The supervisor who has now been promoted to the CTO of Stampede. Congratulations to the new CTO and to Stampede!

Pros

There were some good moments here. I did learn quite a bit just by being thrown into real work early, especially handling change requests and understanding how the system flows. Training was provided at the start, including a session with the product team at another location. Its more on the introduction of the system the company provided. That part was actually quite nice like getting out of the office, meeting people, and seeing how things work from a different angle. My senior business analyst did try her best to guide me even though she was always busy. I appreciated that effort a lot. The other BAs I worked with were also in the same boat, so we were struggling in our ways. Despite the stress, there were genuinely few good people and small moments that made the experience memorable in a way.

Cons

The main issue for me was the lack of proper onboarding structure for the complexity of the system. I didn’t feel prepared enough to handle the workload within the expected timeframe so I spent a lot of time figuring things out on my own. Even with a hybrid setup (some days in office, mostly working from home), it often felt harder. At home especially, you are expected to figure things out on your own with limited guidance, and it can get overwhelming when you’re stuck and everyone is busy. Support was there, but everyone was so busy, so it wasn’t always easy to get help when you really needed clarity. I also had a difficult experience with the head of HR communication style, which at times felt hostile during direct interactions, even though the public-facing side of events felt very welcoming. I don’t really remember every detail anymore, just that it didn’t sit well with me.
