Pros

Good benefits, including tuition assistance and a great 401(k) plan with a 7% discretionary contribution. The company is growing fast by acquiring mid-sized and small companies. Great product portfolio.

Cons

There is no diversity at the workplace. Recent hires in leadership roles lack of the fundamental people skills and education.

    Pros

They work hard through their screening process to find good people (stringent enough to where some good people do not make it in). Can be a good springboard to other opportunities.

    Cons

Can expect long hours. You have to fit a certain mold to make it and it is not always communicated well if you do not fit that mold.

    No opinion of CEO

    Pros

    Good salaries and benefits
Some very good colleagues, skilled and serious, but seldom recognized as such in the company.

    Cons

Coming from two great international companies i was really disappointed from Stryker Europe top management, both values and skills.
The core business (net of acquisitions) -not surprisingly- is not performing well.
There is frustration and fear in most of the employees due to the lack of integrity, no respect of people.
Many business processes are complex, with mistakes and reworks, with long cycle times and complaints from customers. But the company is not investing in process excellence.

    Advice to Management

Come to Europe, visit the locations, talk anonymously with employees, middle managers and new joiners to really understand how the company is managed in Europe and Italy.
Contact past employees and ask them to tell you about their experience.
