I have been working at SunTrust as a contractor (More than a year)

Pros

company has good benefit programs and enough to keep you busy all the time. Management is corporative most of the time. Reasonably good work life balance.

Cons

Upper management sometimes seems clueless about latest trends, I guess thats why this company is conservative, it can be good thing or bad, depending how you look at it.

Advice to Management

Retain your best talent and focus on your strengths, that is the best way out in these times.

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

If you love dealing with the public, this is the best job in the world. You will meet and build relationships with very interesting people and each day is a new challenge..

    Cons

Sales goals are very high and you are given no tools to obtain goals. Staffing is at a bare minimum and there are days where it is just you and 1 other person. The company does no advertising to bring in new customers and you are expected to obtain your goals be selling to the same customers you see everyday.

    Advice to Management

Stop reinventing the wheel every year. Expecting your exempt employees to work 55 hours a week every week results in burnout.

I have been working at SunTrust full-time (More than 10 years)

    Pros

Company with a long standing history and lots of locations throughout the southeast.

    Cons

Company seems misdirected with a lack of focus. Employee moral is very low and the organization has no action plans for improvement. Raises continue to shrink even though the economy has improved.
