Pros
Good compensation, great office location
Cons
Job safety at T212 almost nonexistent. Assess the risks carefully and do not walk in without a Plan B before joining. Here is the story of my short employment, if you'd like to read further: I joined the company after an easy set of technical interviews. The company claimed they were looking for someone with a "strong engineering background" and that no specific technology match was needed. I felt they might be just hiring, and assessing later in probation. So, I asked an early bonus payment in my contract to force an early decision. I would either be kept with extra comp or let go in a short time. Since my recruiter was let go before I even started, I thought this was a right move. Two weeks after my start date, I was forced to give a 2-week estimate for a task on a Sunday morning. I didn't agree, and provided a 4-week counter-estimate because my priority was safe production integration and handling the limits of the technology. A few days later, I was terminated for being "not capable" for the role. They used "technology gap" as an excuse, which something they claimed non-important in the interview phase. Fortunately, the early termination helped me catch up with the timing of another offer (from big tech) I had on the table.
