Pros

The client had some interesting problems to solve. It's a consultancy. It's very salesy. It depends what you are looking for.

Cons

Lack of planning around work. Clients are given the answers they want to hear, not the answers they should hear - there's a "just make it work" expectation that comes down from above, rather than looking at the causes of an issue or forming a realistic expectation in the client. Lots of consulting hype. It's written into the Trideca contract that they do not have to employ you if for some reason there's no work. Weirdly, you interview for a particular client project but end up signing an open ended contract with Trideca that could be potentially without pay. This effectively means there's no meaningful termination clause to their contract so contracting employees are very expendable. It feels like a large temp agency. It's very hit and miss as to the level of competence of the people you'll be working with.

Pros

This company is the most autonomous company i have ever worked for! No micromanagement and i feel like i am treated like a specialist - They actually ask my advice on mobile engineering, vs telling me what to do. The people are great, really friendly and despite the consulting reputation, the exec and managers really care about me as a person.

Cons

Sometimes they are so busy the processes can cause hindrance, but this is because its a small company without the resources of the big consultancies. If they scale properly it will be a great place with alot to give.
