Pros
Rents at the properties are kept below market rates, so you will always have a waiting list and leasing is a breeze.
Cons
First off, training is minimal. If you don’t have a good direct supervisor who sympathizes with you and helps you get through the growing pains, you’ll be thrown to the wolves. If you need help from anyone higher than the PM level, you may as well forget it. The company enforces strict deadlines without providing their employees with the means to meet those deadlines. If you work in one of their Tennessee properties, I believe the experience may be better; however, the Carolina properties are often neglected and forgotten unless they are performing poorly. Overall, there is an extreme lack of communication. This, combined with the unrealistic demands and snobbish attitude of the corporates, leaves many employees feeling unmotivated and under appreciated.
