    Positive Outlook

I worked at University of Dundee full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Good work environment. Research facilities are top class with excellent colleagues to collaborate with. Good benefits, especially if you are going to stay there long term.

    Cons

Growth opportunities are few in the UK if you wish to stay in academia. If you don't have fellowships from the beginning, your growth will undoubtedly be stunted. This is not specific to the university, though, but common throughout the UK.

    Negative Outlook

I worked at University of Dundee full-time for more than 8 years

    Pros

    None in a long time.

    Cons

Bad management, only interest is personal. Centre does not really exist, only to attract students (certificates do not mention CEPMLP anywhere), Lecturers are never there (absenteeism is very high), no support for students, administrative staff spends most day tracking down lecturers and professors for students and signatures. Rules change regularly as convenient to administration only, School of Social Science does not understand why the Centre exists. PhDs do not receive feedback from their supervisors, but no one really cares and intimidate students into saying otherwise.
