I have been working at Verastar part-time

Pros

- some staff (mainly entry level) are helpful

Cons

- Sales staff are free to call you with abuse any time they disagree with your work, people have actually left this role as a result of threats of violence
- Walk through a sales floor and you'll hear managers boo'ing you and sales staff hurling abuse. QA senior management wont stick up for you - previous management would 100% however newly appointed think that if you're receiving this attention it's your fault and it means you're doing your job wrong... very unsupported
- Filed HR statements surrounding the above and received a lovely letter back to say it had been "filed" but there was no investigation
- Senior QA management launched complaints against staff members for swearing but their conduct is wholly inappropriate all the time to say the very least
- Unprofessional attitude from senior QA/SS management - standing around necking their partners and grabbing bums isn't exactly a good office environment
- Seen QA/SS senior management come to work with children to log onto computer, leave for the day then come back to log off (abusing time card system), then a few days later issue late forms and warnings to staff for getting in less than 5 minutes late when they've stayed over an hour late the day before
- Very poor pay: 18k-20k for a specialised QA role working 9AM-6PM

Advice to Management

Actually investigate QA/SS Senior management instead of replying "email the HR inbox- we have policies that this review is breaching". Nobody manages the HR mailbox and i've witnessed staff being sacked for whistleblowing.

    I have been working at Verastar full-time (More than a year)

    Pros

    Some of the staff try really really hard. They try to help enforce change. They try to withstand the constant pressure of the work load.

    Cons

    Pretty much everything else. The management have no faith in the company. Everything is a double standard. From the outside the company looks like a big shiny place to work. But when you walk through the door your met with a greating of anxiety and depression to start your day. HR don't care. And I know it's petty but the office really smells.

    Advice to Management

    Treat those who care with some respect. Acknowledge the ages work staff put in. You loose all your staff because of the way you treat them. Putting all the stress on your supervisors because you can't manage your team or because you prefer to sit and chat instead of doing your job.
