Pros

Awesome benefits and amazing co-workers!

Cons

I have been at Zumper for over a year and unfortunately, the culture is changing and the morale is low. What used to be a warm and trusting leadership team has shifted considerably. Employees in every department are leery of their leadership. Yes, the bar is high but no need to turn on every employee who has been so loyal to you. Things are getting stressful and it is blamed on how quickly the company is growing. Just because we are a "rocketship" shouldn't mean that everyone's job and livelihood should be threatened. High-performing employees are active on the job market to go to companies where they will be valued.

Thank you for your feedback. We agree that our benefits and team members are awesome, but also appreciate you coming forward with the more difficult topics, as well. We’re sorry to hear that your experience with our leadership team has shifted. We are in a high-growth mode right now which can be stressful, but we are trying our best to ensure that stress doesn’t get in the way of our collaborative, open-door environment. As we grow, we also want to create more transparency between our leadership team and team members. We encourage you to provide feedback to your HR rep or one of our Executives during quarterly skip-levels. Or if you feel more comfortable, please participate anonymously in our bi-annual engagement survey. Please know that you are valued and again, we sincerely appreciate your feedback. - Zumper HR

Pros

Some very fun, talented people. Good benefits and work/life balance

Cons

Zumper is in a bad position. They're rapidly losing market share (and relevance) and have really no idea how they're gonna turn the ship around. They're very reactive, are constantly being outperformed and out-innovated, all while laying off the employees that could help them make a difference. They're pinning all of their hopes on being acquired, but after a year and a half of searching, they still have no buyers. At this point, I'd put my money on them going bankrupt. If you're thinking about accepting a job offer from there, be prepared to be looking for another job soon.
