Pros

A lot of the people doing the day-to-day work are nice and talented. The benefits are decent.

Cons

Zumper wants to go public but will have a tough time doing it successfully with recent events. Like most startups, Zumper claims to live and die by core values like Win Together and Make A Dent, but when faced with adversity, CEO doesn't practice what he preaches. Morale is really low. Mostly everyone still here is interviewing and looking around, and it won't be long until very few remain.

We appreciate you for taking time out to write a review. As a current employee, we are disappointed to hear that you are less than satisfied with the state of our company. Our leadership team had to make the difficult decision to conduct a reduction in force like so many other companies, who are all striving to adapt to the ever-changing macro conditions. As a company who has been in business since 2012, our CEO and leadership team truly believe our employees are our most valuable asset. We highly encourage you to bring your feedback to our regularly scheduled skip-level meetings with the HR/People Operations team or our CEO Anth to discuss any concerns or issues in depth. Alternatively, you can also offer anonymous feedback by contacting: (https://forms.gle/oxZ6SYhvdDD2urXt9). Hope to hear from you soon.

Pros

Some very fun, talented people. Good benefits and work/life balance

Cons

Zumper is in a bad position. They're rapidly losing market share (and relevance) and have really no idea how they're gonna turn the ship around. They're very reactive, are constantly being outperformed and out-innovated, all while laying off the employees that could help them make a difference. They're pinning all of their hopes on being acquired, but after a year and a half of searching, they still have no buyers. At this point, I'd put my money on them going bankrupt. If you're thinking about accepting a job offer from there, be prepared to be looking for another job soon.
