    Cons

    - Hiring Can be considered a long process but worth it to get the right people - long hours so need to find the right work/life balance

I worked at Enterprise full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Internal Promotions. Earning potential. Meet new people within different companies. Eyesight into running your own and other important aspect of running a successful business.

    Cons

Hours. Work life balance takes a massive hit. Office staff and management get excessive pressure put on them by hire management, which impacts health and lifestyle, when addressing HR they do not address this matter as they should and importance of it. Racial profiling and targeting amongst peers from all levels within the company and yet again HR do nothing regarding this. If your are well liked by hire management you will be looked after more so than the hard a working individual and will be used and abused; when something unethical occurs they will look at the person who is involved and decide whether they should act up on it, rather than deal with it fairly. During my time with Enterprise not once I had a level above come ask if i am ok when things got too difficult due to the pressure of the amount of targets that we need to achieve. As a branch manager there was no support from any of my superiors just negative approach when something goes wrong or when a KPI isn't hit.

I worked at Enterprise full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Vehicle hire discount when you go on holiday?

    Cons

I don't know where to start... They sell you the idea that you can make as much money as you want: 'it depends on your hardwork'. It is not worth being promoted as you don't get paid for the overtime (+55h once you are Assistant manager or Branch manager) and most of the branches don't make any money which means you end up getting paid less than the minimum wage most of the time. If you want to have a family or a mortgage, forget about this job. Work-life balance is terrible. It is not just the hours, it is also the pressure you work under. I wouldn't recommend this job to my worst enemy....

I worked at Enterprise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Teaches you a good work ethic. Good place to get experience. Good progression if you enjoy it.

    Cons

Everything else! Terrible pay. Ridiculously long hours (12 hours a day minimum). Half hour break. Like a taxi driver. Constantly shouted at by managers and customers. Don’t learn a thing. No work life balance. Profits are put over safety of staff who are on the road for probably 8 hours plus a day. Have to wash cars (in a suit). Heavy sales focus. No set finish time, it’s just whenever you finish (meant to be 6pm, more like 8pm). Forced to use twitter to make it look like a good place to work. Terrible competitive culture. It is genuinely awful and I wouldn’t wish it upon anyone.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Progression (however this is down to people quitting, not 'growth' as they tell you during recruitment).

    Cons

The focus is on making top management loads of money, customers and staff come last. The majority of its operations are fundamentally floored which makes it very hard for those in the branches to do their jobs. The graduate scheme is nothing like how it is described during the recruitment process. No work/life balance. Poor pay.

I have been working at Enterprise full-time for less than a year

    Pros

Working at Enterprise comes with a lot of perks. There are bonuses that are always up for grabs, the salary is good and there are multiple promotion opportunities - plus you get to drive a wide range of cars from vauxhall corsas and hyundai i10's to mercedes s-classes, BMW 5 series and range rover autobiography's (all brand new) and everything in between everyday. Enterprise invest a lot of time into training and it pays off, you're taught all the different areas of the business with the aim to promote everyone to a management position. Unlike other large companies you don't get lost in the crowd, area and regional managers take a real interest in your career and it makes you feel valued. There are monthly treats and paid nights out for the best performers which are always saught after by every one. You can tell its a family run company. My favourite thing about enterprise is that they really are an equal opportunity employer, they constantly run charity days which you get a paid day off work to help at and they are a huge supporter of all PRIDE events.

    Cons

Because enterprise invest a lot of time and money into your training, the only downside is that the work can be hard and you are rotad to work 10 hour days 5 days a week and sometimes you'll have to work late, even though you get overtime pay its still long hours - which if its your first job can feel like a lot but when you're out driving, delivering cars and meeting customers the days fly by. While the days go by really quickly, working 50 hours a week can make it difficult to have a good work/life balance especially if you have dependents but enterprise make up for that by offering good holiday entitlement. The pension scheme is standard so it's not brilliant but it's no worse that what you'd get anywhere else.
