I have been working at Equitable full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Left another “Bright” Financial Services company in Charlotte to join Equitable. The culture, comp and benefits at Equitable beat the other place BY FAR. No big CEO ego here and truly connects with employees at all levels. Building this company in fine fashion as they complete the separation from AXA.

    Cons

There are residual layoffs tied to the AXA separation but this does appear to be coming to a close. The company is positioned for stability and growth.

    Doesn't Recommend

I worked at Equitable full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Good place to get your licenses and run. If you make it 10 years the compensation gets better.

    Cons

Everyone has quotas to meet and are more concerned with their own business than helping others. Driving thousands of miles per year. Everyone wants a percentage of your business and hard work.

    Doesn't Recommend

I have been working at Equitable full-time for more than a year

    Pros

    - Benefits are okay - Unlimited PTO

    Cons

    - No work life balance. Expect you work 12+ hours daily, weekends, and PTO time. Very old school mentality - Bonuses, promotions are hard to get unless someone fights for you - Medical is pricey. They pay you not to take dental coverage. - People who have worked here forever can do whatever they want
