This is now a miserly company with a C-suite that doesn’t understand what it’s doing, half of which have been fired from their previous companies, and now hired by a hands-off CEO. Politics are off the scale, morale is low, job security is continually low (a LOT of people have been cut or left in the past 12 months), cooperation is minimal and people are jealous about sharing information. There are data silos everywhere. Incredibly, major technology programmes seem to be led by Finance, while IT are mostly sidelined. The CTO is a CTO in title only. Consultants are brought in with exorbitant fees while internal experts, who have the knowledge and experience from bigger projects, are simply ignored. Meanwhile, salary increases, are either below inflation, or barely above it. All this while the shadowy group that owns the company demands more and more cuts.
