I worked at Eskenazi Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

Organization's dedication to serving underserved communities in Indianapolis. Beautiful campus. Decent health coverage if you get care within the system (but fairly high deductible otherwise).

    Cons

Fairly low pay (they're a safety net health system) for non-MDs/PharmDs, who brought home eye-popping salaries. They'd wax poetic about how vital care coordinators and social workers were but then paid us a tiny fraction of what the higher-ups made. Very little opportunity for advancement if you don't have an MD. My department (infectious disease clinic) had really high levels of burnout and turnover.

I have been working at Eskenazi Health full-time for more than 5 years

    Pros

Love the patient population and the challenges they bring to your job every day. There are great benefits as healthy me , gym inside the facilities and yoga and cardio classes.

    Cons

The company is going through so many operational changes that makes it hard to keep a positive attitude every day and hard to reach upper management

I have been working at Eskenazi Health full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Benefits-Great insurance, Paid vacation days, and retirement benefits I love my coworkers, and the clients I work with. The work I do is really fulfilling for me.

    Cons

The pay is really not great for a person with a bachelor's degree. I understand I'm in the human services field, but a living wage would be preferable. Utilization and productivity are pushed really hard-it is the only way they measure an employees "worth" to the company. Very high caseloads, and many people leave.
