Pros

- “Had” potential for a great product - Irvine team houses the best engineers and most competent leadership

Cons

- The entire purpose of them going public was self serving and to sell off the company to a bigger fish no matter whose lives they manipulated in the process. - No clear decision making, direction, or employee communication from executives. Even top management is left in the dark. - Keep an eye out for red flags, owing vendors millions of dollars, can’t reimburse employees for relocation and travel payments!! - The Teipel’s threw a big celebration which ended up being a fake “Unicorn Billion Dollar Milestone” & “We’re Going Public”, to just lay off more than 50% of the company 6 weeks later. - Serious mismanagement of funds and still blowing money on “Diamond Sponsorships” for events to try & save face without the equipment, staff or products to back it up. - EssentiumX is the cliche joke of the company. People with no military background acting like they’re veterans and former civil servants. - Be prepared to work for more than what they’ll pay you

Pros

- Good culture in that many people are ready and willing to help - Surrounded by brilliant people - People genuinely want the company to be successful - Fun to be in a new technology area - IF they can get the products to perform, it is cool technology - Great benefits

Cons

- Company mismanagement by the CEO and his co-founder wife caused 50% company layoff after hosting a celebration a week or 2 before for going public - Knowingly put employees in a difficult situation with vendors over cash flow issues - Do not pay contractors , vendors and expect employees to use their own credit card for travel and are very slow to reimburse - For a small company it is a very siloed organization with a blatant preference for employees that are part of the Essentium X team over others - Executive team not aligned - Be ready for nepotism and people hired because they belong to the same church as the CEO and his wife - CEO is a spin doctor, fund raiser and not willing to listen to the current challenges
