Long hours, ever increasing targets, no breaks

      Pros

Some of the staff at the same level are alright. The money is ok, unless you work out your hourly rate.

      Cons

The hours are long and despite being told having a lunch break is fine, it's almost impossible to have one, unless you smoke, when you seem to be able to take as many breaks as you want. There's no career progression unless you're pally with the person above you, the bonus targets are set by the regional manager and are therefore impossible to hit. You're expected to make 50 outbound calls each day without fail. If your boss asks you why a certain customer isn't spending money and you say 'our deliveries aren't good enough', 'a competitor is cheaper', 'the guy the other side of our office had an argument with him', or something similar, you'll be told it's not that and not to be so negative. Stocktake is a farce and if you're in the office, you have to do it, unpaid, after hours. Last time, we gave up at 11pm. If you're a driver, you can just go home and there's no repercussions. It's honestly the worst place I've ever worked.

Great pay - not much else that great

      Pros

Pay very good if your good at what you do and hit personal targets for wage increases and commission

      Cons

Very long hours, any time off is massively frowned upon, lunch breaks by management are grudged to be taken. Mobiles not allowed in office despite customers using them for orders as part of modern day ordering, berated if targets aren't hit like it's all your fault and not anything else reason wise.

      Worst company to work for

      Pros

      - Friendly staff to work with

      Cons

      - Worst management team, senior managers do not recognise hard work - Long hours and lunch breaks are frowned upon - No chance of promotion unless you are close to senior management - Very rude and unprofessional senior management - Expected to work overtime with no overtime pay - Some branches have inhumane conditions for warehouse staff - Warehouse staff are not considered to be humans and are made to work in very poor conditions - Poor salaries, some staff have been working with the company for more than 10 years with no pay rise

      Pros

Discounts on parts, very limited employee benefit scheme which has the essence of food vouchers about it.

      Cons

No Managerial benefits worth mentioning (healthcare etc) Poor bonus structure geared for failure in compliance or failure in branch sales. Total lack of support with regards to staffing. Recruiters get paid when the branch does all the work to recruit a new member of staff, anything below a sales advisor regarded as pond life. Some sales people on similar salaries to managers, with managers to frightened to lose them for a fear of dropping in sales and difficulty recruiting someone new. Zero thought on London branches with regards to recruitment (same salaries as the rest of the country) NO LONDON WAITING Completely failing from logistics and stock management. You won't ever get a real lunch break. Never enough staff to perform day to day tasks. No contingency for staff shortages, regular recruitment freezes.

      Pros

Pros are finishing at 5 if your lucky.

      Cons

30 minutes a day lunch break which you dont get, £14,929 wages per year, one week working 44 hours the next week working 49 hours including the Saturday so divide the annual salary by 52 weeks and you get a wage of £287.09 per week before TAX which is an absolute joke so if u base it on your 49 hour week you actually get paid £5.86 per hour before TAX which is illegal and £6.52 per hour before TAX for the 44 hour week I don't include any lunch breaks because I don't get them at all and when I questioned this I was told " if you don't like it you know what to do " and for a company this size its disgusting behaviour from their managers. Below minimum wage, minimum holiday entitlement and bank holidays you only get 4 of them through the year also if you don't finish till after 5 its tough luck and do not expect euro car parts to pay you overtime it simply doesn't happen.

Horrible work experience...highest staff turnover I have ever seen.

      Pros

You have a job to go to every day.

      Cons

Your day starts out basically at 7:45 a.m, you had to sign in using a finger priniting device as if you were a prisoner. Long hours and long days, usually Monday to Saturday 8 a.m. to 6 p.m, no lunch, no breaks, grown men having to ask permission to have a fag. Rude and unfriendly management constanlty on your back pushing for targets to be met. Staff being told they were not allowed to have their lunch breaks, which by the way were unpaid. No room for advancement or promotion. It was one of the most dreadful companies I have ever worked for. Absolutely no work / home life balance.
