I have been working at Eurofins Scientific full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

The work is interesting and the people I work with are great for the most part. It is varied enough to keep the job interesting.

    Cons

Not particularly flexible with hours, only give lieu time for weekend work so any weekday overtime is not paid. Generally the work load is quite high so it's a struggle to fit it all in at times. Pay isn't great and equipment could be improved.

I have been working at Eurofins Scientific (More than 5 years)

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere and flexible working.Everyone is united and there is a good atmosphere in the company. There are good opportunities for now staff to learn new skills and get training.

    Cons

While there is training available, there is no real wage progression although a structure for progression is often promised, it never materialises. Promising staff often leave once trained because they can get a big wage bump elsewhere.

    Advice to Management

A more flexible wage structure would help retain staff.

    Pros

Great company culture in our business unit.

    Cons

Transitioning to new management. Higher management is slowly becoming more receptive to new ideas.

The benefits are good. The hours are also pretty good. Lots of young people.

    Cons

Pay stayed the same for over a year. No annual raise. Department is understaffed.

I worked at Eurofins Scientific full-time

    Pros

Wonderful people. Very flexible hours. As long as your work was completed the hours were not very strict. Opportunity to learn is there.

    Cons

Pay is on the low side. Often times you must stay late to meet deadlines. At times the job can be very stressful.

    Advice to Management

I would say for management to show their appreciation for their staff more often. They are the ones that get stuck working holidays and weekends to meet the demands.

I worked at Eurofins Scientific full-time (More than 3 years)

    Pros

Positive work culture, community outreach, good training resources available (webinars, conferences) if you express interest to management. Can take pride in being part of the quality services provided. Benefits (insurance, 401K with matching, PTO) are very good. Local and mid-management are approachable. Some extremely hardworking people.

    Cons

Disconnection between lab and front office, lab over worked, pay is VERY noncompetitive, bonuses are small or non-existent, and there is a substantial lack of career growth and advancement. Upper management (at the senior/corporate level) are not interested in investing in personnel growth, would rather maintain high turn-over rate and replace with a fresh person at low pay. Could really be a great company if they would place a higher value on employee growth and retention.

    Advice to Management

Focus on retaining employees and meeting industry salaries and wages. Close the communication and social gap between lab and front office for a more cohesive environment. Establish a clear path to career advancement.

I worked at Eurofins Scientific full-time

    Pros

Friendly atmosphere, flexible schedules for upper management, fast paved work environment, focuses on providing quality assured services to clients.

    Cons

Not very organized, lab staff is overworked and understaffed

    Advice to Management

Lab needs more staff, the lack of help running benches and having to overwork your employees (10 to 12 hr days) is the reason for high turnover. Need to focus on being lab oriented instead of increasing the number of high paid, office workers. You can't run a lab and provide quality services without lab staff.
