      Pros

      An amazing culture has been built, our mission, vision and values reflect, 100%, our purpose, and we are mission driven. We have struggled along the way like many start-ups, but have listened, learned and are on a path to huge success. Our team makes daily life amazing, and I am grateful to call them friends and family. Can't imagine waking up each day and working anywhere else. #gratitude

      Cons

      We are a start up, so nothing is easy. We have had tough times, and made it through, but it was not a smooth ride. We are on the other side, and the sky's the limit.

      - Fully remote during my time but in-office cliches will not allow you to continue any career trajectory without being in the office - Competitive Pay to try to keep top talent cause nothing else will get you to stay

      - Non-existent engineering culture - Business requirements constantly shifting - Business requirements ill defined - Low team morale - Speed v. Quality for coding standards - Developer feedback ignored during retros - Low team morale - Sprint ceremonies deemed unnecessary - No communication from technical leadership - Mercenaries "Hired Guns" v. Missionaries "Invested Employees"

      Building the Right Culture and Work Environment

      Pros

      The people and their commitment to building a great collaborative culture are at the top of the list for me. My colleagues challenge me to be at my best professionally while also upholding our values which include teamwork and fun.

      Cons

      When you work for a growing early-stage company, you are going to have to wear different hats and juggle priorities in a fast paced environment. That can definitely be tough at times, but it also gives me the opportunity to experience various aspects of the business. If sticking to only the exact bullet points on a JD are for you, this might not be the right place.
