Thanks for taking the time to leave your feedback. We’re glad to hear that the flexible environment is working well for you. We appreciate your feedback around the business model. Leadership agrees that transparency is key especially in times of change. Communication has been a priority and there are several outlets to include: regular email updates, Line of Sight meetings (for managers), Quarterly company meetings, our Pulse newsletter, our internal Mobius site, etc. If you feel you are still not receiving the information you need to be successful, please reach out to HuanResources@EvolentHealth.com.

I have been working at Evolent Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

I enjoy the team I work with.

    Cons

I have been here a few years now and have seen drastic changes (not positive ones) that have direct impact on the employees here. I wish communication from our C-suite was better and more personal. Morale has gotten so bad here that it can make it hard to get through the day and stay positive. There is also a great deal of confusion and unknowns about the future of the company and the direction it will go. For now, I would say stay away from the company until they figure all of these things out and stabilize. Also, one thing that really bothers me is that our bonuses were cut and 401k is now paid out once a year (so hopefully you are still employed by EVH when that happens) and even that once a year is based on company performance (so maybe we will get a match?)

    Evolent Health Response

    May 20, 2019

We love to read that folks are connected with their teams – we think that is one of our greatest strengths. We are sorry to hear that you believe the shifting business strategy has not been good for morale. Communication has been through a variety of channels to include team meetings, leadership meetings, emails, our sharepoint site, etc. We’re always open to suggestions; please let us know if there are others that should be considered. We want everyone to feel informed and as confident in Evolent’s future as we are!

I have been working at Evolent Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The team I work on and the people I work with.

    Cons

What happened to this place? Everything that made it a great place to work...gone. No more team events, no more 401k, bonuses were cut, no pay increase, no holiday party, no more snacks and where is the coffee and tea?!?! Also, top talent and good managers are leaving. These things made Evolent a fun place to work, kept employees motivated and made it so that working hard/long hours was okay because it was balanced with some fun. I could go on about many more things, such as lack of diversity and growth opportunities (FYI not available unless you are someone's favorite).

    Evolent Health Response

    April 16, 2019

We hear you, and are empathetic with how you must be feeling with these changes. Please know, that when it comes to benefits, several factors were taken into account when these changes were made. A ton of information was gathered from the market to ensure we remained competitive. We also wanted to ensure that we were able to prioritize the things most important to our employees (which was gathered by the benefits survey). Please know that our 401k plan is alive and well. The match is 4% and is discretionary on company performance and is paid out annually. We’d be happy to put you in touch with our benefits specialist to ensure you have all of the information needed (HumanResources@evolenthealth.com) . We also provide sessions with financial advisors that can help here. As for bonuses, they were paid this year, although you’re correct to say not at the usual 100% that they had been in years past. Our bonuses have always been based on company and personal performance and will remain structured in this way. I do think it’s worth mentioning that our CEO and his direct reports did not receive a bonus this year and this was because they took accountability for the company’s performance in 2018. Although we did have some employees impacted as a result of overall company performance, we are focused on the future and are hopeful for what it will bring. This topic, as well as many others have been addressed in one of the regular company-wide e-mails, updates in our weekly Pulse newsletter, monthly Start by Listening Webinars with executive leaders, and quarterly firmwide meetings. Additionally, the executive team has recently started the “Line of Sight” meeting series; these are regular meetings held with top level leaders and all people managers where company updates are shared and discussed. After these meetings, managers are asked to share the updates and information with their teams. If you manager has not been sharing the updates from these meetings, please reach out to them directly; or if you feel uncomfortable doing so, feel free to contact the Talent team or a Safe Space Ambassador to help facilitate a conversation. We are committed now more than ever to our mission to “Change the Health of the Nation by Changing the way Healthcare is Delivered”.

I worked at Evolent Health full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

The company was good several years back With good people and benefits, when they first started with a group of nice and professionals. It falls so quickly nowadays. Co-worker are still good, while they faces layoffs. Benefits were good, but it got cut in 2019

    Cons

Mid-level management and above Sr.directors are so stupid, no clear directions to the team and they are hired by relationships/friendships, not by job qualifications. So disappointed.

I have been working at Evolent Health full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great colleagues, work from home option

    Cons

Company is falling down, they cut down our benefits - no salary increases , 401 k match only for employees who stay till end of year , cut down bonus. Lot of favoritism, if you are friends with the Sr director and above level you get promoted if not does not matter how hard you work , you will not be recognized. Selfish Indian Sr. management in IT who run the department like it's their family business, not thinking about the companies best interest. Full of dirty politics.
