I worked at Exchange Club Yellow Umbrella full-time (More than 5 years)
In operation for 28 years. Advancement opportunities, staff and coworkers support one another. Families trust that services are provided to help them to succeed.
Clients have very complex needs that are difficult at times to solve due to limitations in resources available in Brevard, like family shelters and transportation.
Advice to Management
Management honestly cares about the staff and their needs. Keep believing and supporting the center and mission to protect children. History has proven time and again the truth and heart of the people who could not help others if not for this center.
Mostly contracts with independent service providers. Nearly all personnel are self employed.
Poorly organized board of directors. Executive leadership functions on personal likes and dislikes. Major concerns with compliance to diversity standards. Does not offer health insurance.
