    I worked at ExxonMobil full-time

    Pros

Well paid up until 2-3 year mark, which you are on a constant salary increase (above inflation) regardless of performance. If you are a high performer, you will receive an even greater salary increase, but regardless of performance, your salary will increase. Very competitive starting salary. You join in Graduate groups, so have an immediate peer network. Hampshire has a low cost of living vs London. Good compensation...

    Cons

Little development other than the mandatory soft skills training. Exxon training is not recognised by future employers. Very little work life balance support for employees - expect to eat at your desk, many people "burnt out"/long term sick. After about year 3, your salary will not be competitive against your peers in other industries / companies. Compensation package set...

      I worked at ExxonMobil

      Pros

-Good work / life balance -Given responsibility early on in the role

      Cons

-Demoralising work environment -Unpleasant blame culture -Much of the work should have been done by admin staff -Very little / no focus on long term investment in interns

      Advice to Management

Focus on allowing interns to grow as engineers, rather than dumping them with whatever work needs to be done. Very little / no focus on long term investment in interns

I have been working at ExxonMobil full-time for more than 5 years

      Pros

Good work life balance, great place if you just want to do your job then go home

      Cons

Appraisal system is awful, its not about the job you do its just a big popularity contest. Big organisation that is stuck in its ways, change happens at a glacial pace. Too political.

      Advice to Management

Lots of good people and ideas wasted at the bottom
