I have been working at FDM Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

When a new graduate is looking for a job, it very tough for him as the whole industry is looking for a person who is experienced and have hands on experience, this is where FDM comes in and offers the new graduates a chance to step into big companies by preparing them thoroughly. The training module is so well planned that you get the best of both worlds i.e. learning and working.

    Cons

Personally I don’t feel any cons but yes most of the people think that while working with FDM they get paid less for two years but honestly speaking you get direct two years of experience, try to see where you will be after that.

I have been working at FDM Group full-time

    Pros

Adequate training that prepares you for the workforce. Modules seem very relevant and updated to current standards. Work environment is relaxing and easy going.

    Cons

Very thin window to balance both workload and client interviews. Modules can feel crammed with little ability to absorb the information.

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

-Near-guarantee of role with blue chip companies -Base wage while not on-site -Door to entry into tech without comsci background -Generally okay at providing some form of training when necessary -Reasonable entry salary, good salary after 2 years. It is what it says on the tin, you will get a job, you will get experience and from there you can pave your own future

    Cons

-Training is arbitrary -Minimal Annual leave/sick pat -May be allocated to role that doesn't match your skillset/interest with no ability to turn down 'oppurtunity' -long, mandatory, often not particularly useful training

    Advice to Management

-Improve treatment of consultants -Increase lenience in edge cases (i.e. allowing trainees to wait for interview results to come through before assigning them a role unwillingly)

I worked at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Easy Interview Process Stability provided while consulting

    Cons

I'm writing this during pride month in response to FDM changing their logo to show their support for pride. FDM does not meet the values of pride. They have a strict dress code policy that discourages those whose choice of clothing does not match their gender and the feminine girls and masculine guys have preference over the butch girls and the femme guys. HR complaints about LGBT discrimination are ignored as a gay...

I worked at FDM Group full-time for less than a year

    Pros

None absolutely none. The place is a circus.

    Cons

Very cliquey. They use scare tactics to keep you in the company knowing you cant pay back the training fees which they will make back in 4 to 6 months after placement. While training you dont get paid. They say they love unique intelligent individuals, they crush all creativity and uniqueness they punish opinions and do not accept constructive criticism. They expect you to accept being treated like crap and be happy about...

    Advice to Management

The place is a joke. You take advantage of the desperate and treat them like children. When you do not get the results or opinions you agree with you throw a strop and temper tantrum and take it to extremes. Don't treat people with that type of behaviour and expect people to take it. Treat your employees ALL equally or EXPLICITLY state that there are different rules for both. There is a divide in your company you are...

  10. "Energetic and Driven IT Atmosphere"

    StarStarStarStarStar
Current Employee - Trainer in Toronto, ON

I have been working at FDM Group full-time for more than a year

      Pros

FDM hires smart and energetic recent graduates and trains them to be IT professionals. Due to this, it is one of the smartest, most driven working atmospheres I have ever been a part of. Most employees are eager to start or continue their IT careers, and motivation to learn and evolve is generally not a problem. The training staff has wide and varied industry experience and are all committed to helping employees grow....

      Cons

It is occasionally challenging being in a location which is geographically and culturally less connected to the head office in the U.K.
