I worked at FTD part-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Five days of full time paid training. Very high turnover means quick promotions.

    Cons

Shut the call center down and laid off everyone with 1 hour notice. Zero workplace privacy.

    Advice to Management

Only work there if you can come in sideways. Charlatans....everywhere.

I have been working at FTD full-time

    Pros

Coworkers are friendly. Pay is decent.

    Cons

FTD completely overhauled their executive team with former Sears executives: from one failing company to another. Collectively they have little to no experience in eCommerce and do not understand the competitive landscape FTD sits in. They have spent the last year on a secret plan to transform the company which turned out to be very uninspiring. I expect to see another employee exodus happening in the coming months.

Stock has plummeted over the last few years by 60-70% to the single digits and talent continues to leave the company’s droves.

Company is at maybe half of personnel they had a couple years ago because company won’t and can’t replace talent that leaves—bottom line needs to look profitable somehow. Everyone is doing the work of 3 or 4 people except for Directors and VPs who spend their time trying to look busy, creating useless meetings and kissing up to their bosses.

Depressing company culture and be prepared to work 12-14 hour days 7 days a week during the weeks leading up to major holidays.

    Advice to Management

    It’s too late.

I have been working at FTD full-time (Less than a year)

    Pros

Company is poised for a huge business and technology transformation. Entire leadership team is onboard and aligned. Board is aligned to fund this and make it happen over the next few years. New executive leadership is driven and aggressive, to make this a success.

    Cons

Need to put the word out in the market that FTD is going through a huge transformation and attract good talent. Company needs a lot of good technology talent to help execute the transformation.

    Advice to Management

Spread the word of what the company is embarking upon, in the open market. Create a buzz about FTD so that people would want to come and work here.

    I worked at FTD full-time

    Pros

They are semi flexible with schedules or what days you can work. They make you work a weekend day though. Easy job.

    Cons

Short breaks, not allowed to use the bathroom?? What workplace treats you like a child and says you can’t get up to use the bathroom besides the breaks that they provide the times for you. Very low pay. Horrible customer service system. With a bachelors degree, you would think they would pay more but nope!!

    Advice to Management

Don’t make people work on the weekends if they can’t and pay more. You might get better staff!!!

Taking to the customers and making them happy and appreciating my service as much as I appreciate the usaa members service making everyone happy.

    Cons

Aux codes are a pain in the butt if you are not precise and accurate they will give you write up after write up till you you’re on your final within a week lol

    Advice to Management

Be nicer to your employees and maybe your turnover rate won’t be so high in the future
