I have been working at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts part-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great part time student Job. You can choose your shifts each week, so you can work as little or as much as you want. Nice to get out of town.

    Cons

Hours are not always consistent each week - so there may be certain months where you get to work very little. Also a little annoying to get there. There is a guest shuttle that you can jump on and there is also a public bus.

I worked at Fairmont Hotels & Resorts full-time

    Pros

-The hiring practices for colleagues is amazing. -The properties are beautiful -Departmental manager's are amazing

    Cons

-Executive management is awful, they treat their staff horrible. Specifically yelling and degrading their employees right in front of guests. This same executive team talks on their cell phones in the lobby without even acknowledging guests.

    Advice to Management

-Treat your employees with respect. The best way to get the reaction you want is by showing the way.
