Pros

All employees that are not at the senior level are incredibly kind with great camaraderie amongst us all. Optimism can be found everywhere

Cons

Employees that are not senior level are used and abused with minimal pay, way below market rate. Senior-level executives negotiate amazing starting salaries, then turn around and tell their employees that they will not receive bonuses/promotions. Upwards trajectory is stagnated. The only way to move forward in your career is to leave the company. Employee churn rate is incredibly high. Zero training within the company. They'd rather hire than train within, causing employees to be demotivated.

NP's BEWARE, do not work here!

Pros

I genuinely like most of the other NPs that I work with.

Cons

Where to begin.... Total and utter lack of respect for the medical team. They operate daily as if we are dispensable and if you are a salaried NP they will tell you all the time how you need to do more in order to "sustain your job." Many of us are already working 9+ hour days to meet their demands. Yet, they act as though we have it easy and don't work nearly hard enough. This is not true. The "portal" that they use is so horrendous and awful, it is an absolute joke for patient care. The training takes multiple full days because you have to learn all of the exceptions to every workflow, that do NOT make sense. The multiple questionnaires they use don't even make sense, half of them have old questions and you have to sift through three separate questionnaires to make sure you have all of the information to safely prescribe. It is not conducive to safe patient care. They don't even require ID from the patient!! There are so many fake patients, it's a total joke. In the past they have asked us to illegally prescribe to minors in states that have restrictive minor laws. They also recently told us that we would now be working weekends and they will not offer any days off in exchange for working a weekend day. Effectively making us work 6 day weeks on the weeks you work the weekend. Meanwhile, they did this during the COVID 19 outbreak when everyone is already high stress working so hard to try and maintain the same numbers. They act as though it is business as usual, barely acknowledging what is going on in the world. Instead of offering extra support they have actually ramped up on asking us to do MORE, work weekends with no extra pay or a day off, send more scripts, more more more. It never ends. The culture is toxic. The managers will constantly slack you about your "numbers" for the day and tell you that you need to clear certain states. They expect you to send over 100 scripts per day, maintain consults and other que's that take up so much time. The RN team works hard but they are not being used efficiently. All they do is send "hotkeys" to patients, they don't even manage the patients before they get to the NP. Instead they have non medical employees managing the patients before they come to the NP team. It doesn't make any sense at all. This place is completely backwards. The marketing team/engineering team/exec team every OTHER team besides the medical team dictates the care, the questionnaire. It's not for lack of the medical team begging and pleading, they just DO.NOT.LISTEN. I think the only reason some NPs stay at this company is because they get to work from home, its understandable. At some point they'll all realize that there are other (better) telemed companies that are run properly with medicine and patient care as the center piece. The NP's at Pill Club are used and abused. It's been truly sad to see over time.
