Pros

Great team with a positive and inclusive attitude, and management is always open for hearing ideas meaning you always feel heard no matter your role

Cons

Being a smaller company means employee benefits are more limited at the moment

Pros

Salary and benefits were fair.

Cons

Management is unprofessional. They want you to clock in and out right on the dot even if there is no work assigned and there is no flexibiliity in work arrangements. My manager was particularly clueless and didn't have any real expertise in her role. There is a co-founder with no real role who wanders around the office all day and just pops into offices to chat and bug people. People were leaving this place weekly.

Pros

- Lovely team to work with. Almost everyone I had the opportunity to work were amazing, fun and friendly, overall great atmosphere in the office. - Fast growth and development opportunities - the company is growing lots and fast, if you want to grow with the company and you're talented, let your manager know and it will most likely happen depending on your department. - Office located close to major transit station in downtown Vancouver.

Cons

- Insanely high turnover rate in the base levels of the company, and managers will rarely ever work there for longer than 2 years. - Too many legacy ideas for a start up in 2022. The founder/president of the company seems to have a thing about getting people to work from the office, and actually seeing people in their seats. - Very limited remote work possibilities in a 2022 post pandemic environment. After returning to office working remote for 2 years, people could work remote twice a week and then was reduced to once only. But that also depends on your relationship with the c-suite there... different people have different arrangements which makes it odd and unfair. One of the C suite executives works remote 80% of the time but that privilege is not reserved for the rest of the team. - Absolutely toxic company culture - In a management and team leads meeting, the founder of the company (not sure what his title is there, he is married to the CEO) said that management should refrain from empathizing with dissatisfied / sad employees as that throws fuel in the fire and brings about turmoil. - People have witnessed this same man above yelling at a team member that was on a call so that he could give an announcement. That was on the main floor in front of everyone and all the team, including the client on the call. - Notably toxic team staff is not disciplined or reprimanded because that person is an essential piece of the business. Their way of dealing with it is essentially sheltering that person from everyone else in the company and making sure to avoid anyone in the day to day team to get in contact with this one individual. - The company seems to run like a family business with what seems to be blurry lines between professional and personal relationships on the c-suite, based on their interactions and privileges.
