Some Growing Pains

Pros

The pros are that the company knows that it's struggling to be a good employer, and it's truly trying to turn it around. The leadership team, for the most part, is approachable and open to feedback. But really, it's the organization's mission that makes working at this company worthwhile. It is truly filled with people who genuinely care about their community and want to make a positive impact in any way possible.

Cons

They move quickly, and there's not a lot of planning involved to the strategy. I am the type of person who really likes to plan out a project or presentation and examine the possible outcomes and possibly test out one smaller market before rolling it out - this doesn't always (ever) happen here. If you're the type of person who likes to fly by the seat of your pants, then by all means step up to the plate.

Pros

This organization is wonderful! Management instills strong leadership and high ethical standards to every-day operations. Employees are taken at their word - if one is a subject matter expert (SME), perfect! Bring your expertise, dedication, and motivation to our clinics; we need you. There is less scrutiny than with many organizations where I've worked and numerous opportunities to prove myself. There's room for growth and I can provide input for most facets of operations. There's no micro-managing but there is accountability - which I appreciate because I don't do well with hand holding. Also, benefits are great! Much lower cost for health care and paid time off accumulates quickly.

Cons

One downside of the organization revolves around unethical employees who have since left - thankfully! It seems too many employees were stuck to their cell phones (electronic pacifiers) or were more interested in hanging out and socializing than in taking care of patients. Can't do was a prevalent attitude, but then why were these people hired??? Another downside is employees who use their leave as soon as it accumulates or those who frequently call out. REALLY? You've just been hired and decided not to come to work? It's also unfortunate some employees can't do his/her job because one doesn't have the "right" supplies. There are plenty of supplies to do one's job but perhaps not what specific employees WANT. Additionally, some employees were stealing - money and supplies. Perhaps this was because clinical leadership wasn't in place to more closely supervise operations, tasks, and deliverables. We're all adults but honestly - some people just don't want to work! I wish they'd just stay home.
