I worked at Fishbowl Marketing full-time

    Pros

All the silly freedoms that comes with being in a small startup. Also - fantastic work/life balance

    Cons

The company exists simply due to the quality of the services team and the relationships they have wit clients. The product itself is about 10 years outdated -new management came in, laid off a bunch of people, made some acquisitions and is trying to thread together a product that will be 'groundbreaking.' No one has seen it, no one knows how it works, it was expensive to build, and the price tag is too expensive for clients....

I have been working at Fishbowl Marketing full-time for more than 3 years

    Pros

    - New CEO taking it to a new more positive direction - Overall focus is on client sucess - Good work/life balance if you make that a priority - Great stepping stone to other companies - Possibility of remote

    Cons

    - Not much upward mobility outside of account management/services - High turnover among employees, hence why promotions are plenty to fill in gaps - Pay is average, your starting salary will be your salary unless you get a promotion. 10% increase at most for promotions unless you can leverage two departments against one another.

    Advice to Management

Company is moving to a great direction. Obviously lots of work to be done. But Fishbowl still feels like a stepping stone for other career paths.

I worked at Fishbowl Marketing full-time

    Pros

    Great location, bagel Fridays, flexibility

    Cons

Selling product features that didn't yet exist made it hard for those in service roles. Too much change/uncertainty.

I have been working at Fishbowl Marketing full-time for more than a year

    Pros

Great opportunity to make big money. Short sales cycle with high ACV. Quarterly bonuses and stretch bonuses for hitting or exceeding goal are lucrative and doable. Fun office environment and sales team

    Cons

Selling to restaurants takes adapting to. Restaurant owners juggle a lot at once. Need to be diligent to keep them on track in sales process and stay top of mind for them

    Advice to Management

Enterprise and Local staff don't interact a ton on a day-to-day basis. Trivia and upcoming holiday events have been/are fun and help with that on a personal and social level, but more work collaboration between the two would make them feel less distinct and more focused on same mission

I worked at Fishbowl Marketing full-time

    Pros

Fishbowl VA office is modern with great views and a nice location. Free bagels for staff on fridays.

    Cons

Follow the trendline of the reviews here and you'll see the story. Staff is over-worked and under-supported, leading to an overall sense of frustration and uncertainty in your future with the company and the company's future overall. Don't get too attached to your coworkers- the turnover rate is OFF-THE-CHARTS. While I was here we had a going away happy hour on what seemed like a monthly basis. You will nonetheless...
