Most people there love the work, have the passion and pride for the job however unfortunately it’s management that causes issues. It’s empty promises of pay raises, performance reviews & advancement within the company. Lots of conflict of interest such as crew leads dating floor workers on the same shift, same department. Promises of long hours if “needed” however when work slows down they offer you, YOUR OWN. (sick day, personal day & or vacation choice) meaning you lose any of those benefits if you ever actually need them. We get paid less than average industry standard, and expects us to work hard & fast to get a plane ready when the result of that expectation is Anything but delusional. Aircraft moves are never on time which causes issues on getting a job that’s need to be completed for that day. Majority of the equipment/tools we need are old and dysfunctional but yet crewleads & management still agrees “they are working fine” how is it fine?? When a 10+ year old scissor lift covered in hard crud and batteries that never been serviced so the darn machine barley moves or go up is “fine”.
Flex jet purchased the place since Flying colours original management ran it to the ground with bad business decisions and treating their staff like a “number” or “robot”
However the original management is still there and flex jet needs to fire them for things to start changing in the right direction, actually give employees the proper pay within the industry average, and upgrade our equipment. Offer long hours for those that are interested and with that, the positivity & morel would greatly change.
You have some workers that take days off like it’s nothing they get a “talking” but then it’s back to the same routine again. But they still expect certain jobs to be “completed” that day. Even though the numbers have diminished for that same day or week. It’s a joke. As an employee there you work hard and show up but still get talked NEGATIVELY by crew leads & management. It’s all about favouritism there. Absolutely disgusting and disgraceful. employees that “injures” their knee or leg but still jumps on ladders and tables or runs doesn’t raise any red flags with crew leads or management and they still get treated better than majority of the workers there. Management doesn’t even say “good morning” “hello how are you” they just walk pass you in the hallway like some trash on the street. When you try to say good morning to them they are so glued to their phones they just either ignore you or pretend you’re not there. When it’s 5 minutes before breaks majority of everything stops and gets ready to go on said break but still get penalized because it’s not “break” time yet even though it’s TWO FREAKING MINUTES” before break or going home. Most of those management probably never did physical work in their life! So when someone just needs a break the same workers get into trouble. They also go so ridiculously far and time “bathroom breaks” which is pure insanity.
It’s such a dysfunctional work environment because of management. And everyone I have spoken too doesn’t matter which department it is. Hopes flex jet clears out the entire management team that were originally flying colours and start fresh on top. Be very aware when coming to work here.
